Chirp

Now that the lunacy that is the "Occupy" movement has spread to other cities in the U.S. and to cities all over the world (not quite 1,000 countries per Diane Sawyer - how the mighty have fallen), we are seeing more goodies to drool and giggle over (please note that clicking on the image below will open a new screen; I was unable to get video embedding to do anything but crash my site):

“If you get the thirteen families that own the world, including George Bush and his administration, get them in front of the White House and hang them and shoot them, because they deserve that.”

Now imagine for a moment if our knit-capped friend here was a member of the Tea Party, attending a rally.  And imagine that he was video-taped fomenting violence against the current administration.

The bleating from the rooftops would begin immediately and would last for years to come. It could discredit the entire Tea Party movement.

We'd know everything about our friend here - his name, address, e-mail and internet accounts, we'd know the color of his underwear and every other piece of minutae that the media could dredge up from the foul underbelly of the racist Tea Party.

What everyone would never know is likely closer to the truth - that our slacker probably lives at home while letting mommy & daddy foot the $30,000 per year tuition at Colorado University at Boulder so that little mr. fancypants can decide whether he wants to be an artist or a doctor (dude, seriously?).  All the while paying for his designer jacket with his trust fund.

Because he is all about being down-with-capitalism.

So here we have a yob calling for the summary execution of a former President of the United States, and his Administration, and what do we hear from the alphabet media?

*crickets* (of course)

Because of course these OWS protestors are all about giving peace-a-chance, holding hands and singing kumbaya.

Your point about a Tea Party member saying something similar is spot on.
