Sunday Verse

I believe.

This time of year in particular, I believe.  The color of the leaves as they change and fall is certainly a sign of magic in our midst - dark green to the brightest of yellows or the deepest crimson, gently swaying in the crisp fall breezes until they release their hold and tumble sweetly to the ground, turning the green grass into a kaleidoscope.

At this time more than any other - I see God everywhere.  The sparkle of the autumn sunshine on the changing leaves makes the soft blue sky look like a stained glass window.  As if God's smile gives the light it's shimmer and glow.

God is indeed everywhere all the time; but today he seems to be more real and alive to me.  He fills my soul with beauty - with sparkle - with magic.

I do so miss Fall in the Northern Tier... but NOT winter.

This is very much my favorite time of year, from late September through December. Even though I love playing ball in summer, the autumn weather is much more my style.
