Navel Gazing what I got.

I'm sitting here at my desk, eating my lunch, and trying to say - something.  Anything.

And all I get is a big fat nothing.

I am politically fatigued already. It's all been so negative and ugly; deep divisions in this country are getting wider by the hour. And I fear that whatever the results are in November ... those divisions may not heal.

People are losing friends, like me, over political opinions.  The insults from the left are getting louder and more egregious with each passing day.

And it makes me want to bury my head until it's all over.

I am life-fatigued as well; nothing hardcore going on - unless you include the impending surgery that will cut out parts of my body and insert shiny chrome & titanium replacements - just life in general.

The fact that we haven't had a real get-away-from-it-all-with-no-other-plans-but-nothing vacation since January doesn't help either. And there isn't one planned until next January, largely due to my surgery and lack of available vacation time due to the surgery.

Some of my friends are struggling as well; burdens large and small.

Calgon...take me (and my friends) away.

Well...absent Calgon I believe a trip to the on-corporate-campus Starbucks is in order.  Will it be a Chai Latte?  Or a Caramel Macchiato? Or a White Chocolate Mocha?

I know you are on the edge of your seats after this scintillating commentary ala Seinfeld.

Updated as of 3:30pm EST:

And the winner was ... the Caramel Macchiato.  Our Starbucks is on what we call The Link - it is a skywalk that connects two buildings that occupy separate blocks; so The Link goes over 2 sidewalks, a street and some additional company property.  The Starbucks is in the middle of The Link and along one of the wall of windows are tables and chairs.  So Buck, while you may have called the SB in your building another conference room - the one here really is in the middle of a large, multiple individual tables ... conference room. With 2 walls of windows.  Heh.
