Sunday Verse
Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 1:09PM It is an impossibly beautiful day here today. The sky is cloudless and the cornflower color that only comes from a crisp New England autumn day.
The breeze tells that tale very well - while the sun is warm it prompts the need to wrap oneself in a cozy sweatshirt while holding a warm cup of chai tea.
Beautiful music is playing softly in the background.
And while I can't be outside in all this just yet, I can stand in the doorway looking out at our backyard and revel in the blessings that God has given to me.
I am home.
Modern chemistry keeps me free from pain.
The Oracle is a better caregiver than a person has a right to expect.
I am able to get around on crutches and am finally starting to experience those first few moments of independence - getting out of bed on my own, dressing myself.
Day 6 after the most major orthopedic surgery there is and my incision is nearly completely healed.
I am truly blessed beyond all reason and measure.
Thank you God - for even noticing me.

That you ARE, Kris... that you are.
Medical science is an amazing thing these days. And so are the painkillers. So glad to hear you're feeling better and better!
